Recent, tragic events in our own backyards have put us all on high alert and have left us feeling emotional, sensitive, and worried. This is called emotional stress. Okay, maybe that’s overdoing it, but seriously - the endorphins that take over when we engage in physical activity of any kind immediately help to put us at ease and calm our nervous systems. Exercise is to mental health what breathing is to your lungs - necessary.

Taking it easy

In times of high stress, and especially on days where you feel like you’re one more thing away from losing your mind, TAKE IT EASY. Sometimes there is nothing more restorative and regenerating for your soul then a lazy afternoon on the couch, surrounded by loved ones, doing nothing but enjoying each other’s company.
